Comitment

Commitment is committing to something to getting it done. Like being committed to a cause or a religion. Another thing that you can be committed to being a sport like these people Tokyo-Olympics-new-Zealand-boats-make-promising-start-to-rowing- campaign or Tokyo-Olympics-eight-golds-predicted-for-new-Zealand-matching-their-record-haul-37-years-on. They were committed to sport in a way that led them to where they are today.

 Who is Green peace?

Green peace is an activist group that was founded by a group of concerned citizens in 1971 and they have done many things such as bring to attention all the things that we shouldn't be doing like nuclear testing which, in an act of defiance they placed them selfs in harm's way to get them to stop the testing of these weapons. For example, a green peace boat called the rainbow warrior was used in a number of anti-whaling and anti-sealing movements but it was later sunk by the French government because New Zealand was at the time not allowing nuclear ships into its waters and green peace supported this and in retaliation, they sunk the green peace boat The Rainbow Warrior using to explosive charges that where -placed in the hull of the ship by French agents. 

What have they done to make a positive change?

Green peace has done many things around the world for instance in 1972 the U.S.A abandoned the testing of nuclear weapons at Amchitka Island in  Alaska after what green peace showed they'd do to stop this testing. And in 1982 they took action against industrial whaling.

What are they doing to protect the oceans today? 

Today Greenpeace is trying to get the governments of the world to sign that by 2030 30% of the ocean will be protected land and will be protected from destruction by human interference. For instance by mining, waste dumping and fishing.
