Film Study

body- language: the way the body can display emotions or feelings.
costumes: the things that the characters wear.
hairstyles: the style that the hair will be in.
make-up: a powder or paint that is applied on the face.
colour: If a charters face goes red for example they may be embarrassed or angry.
lighting: lighting in a scene it may be dark to signal gloomy or scary situations.
props: things that a charter may interact with or that is in the background.
settings: where the movie is placed in the real or animated world.
dialogue: what the characters say.
sound effects: sounds in the background of sounds that are made during the movie of added in post.
music: can be playing in the background to show the mood in a scene like if sombre music is playing the scene is supposed to be sad.
silence: it may mean that there is no mood or people are paying respects in the movie.
symbols: the representation of another thing.
special fx: green screen, blue screen or CGI or motion capture suites.
