Charlie and the chocolate factory

the book charlie and the chocolate factory starts with introducing the characters and describing Charlie and his love for chocolate. it also tells us of grampa joe who tells charlie storeys at night about the chocolate factory. afterwards the next day the golden ticket s announced and become the biggest thing in the world and the buckets family is very excited and is very happy because it's close to Charles birthday where he gets a single bar of chocolate for his birthday present from his parents it also close to when we find out that some of the tickets have been found by; a very fat boy called Agustus gloop was the first person to find a ticket then the next person to find a ticket was veronica salt but actually her father hired hundreds of peanut woman to open up bars of chocolates and eventually give it to veronica salt, the third one was found by miss violet Beauregard who loved to chew gum, then the forth ticket to be found was by Miike TeeVee to loved the tv and never left its side. 

I have read more and this is where I have gotten up to so far. 

Charlie has gotten the golden ticket and has shown it to his entire family and they found out that Willy Wonka will be seeing them tomorrow and that you can bring one or two people from your family to accompany you to Wonka’s factory. Charlie chooses grandpa joe to come with him and the next day they go to willy Wonka’s factory and meet the other 4 children and parents that found the tickets. They first go through many corridors and Wonka explains the layout of the building say that the building bigger than any other building on earth, and when someone asks how he then go on to explain his he just digs deeper and deeper into the hollowing it out. 

And that's where I am at now. 

literacy question. what kinds of social reality does the text portray?

The text charlie and the chocolate factory shows social realities, ties such as Rich and poor, greedy and not greedy. For instance, Veronica Salt"s family in response to Veronica wanting a ticket they buy hundreds of thousands of chocolate bars to try to find a ticket compared to Charlie's family who can barely buy his birthday present that was one bar of chocolate. Also, there's the part the veronicas father Mr Salt says that Veronica when she didn't get the ticket straight away she thew the tantrum that lasted days until they could find the golden ticket whereas Charlie when finding that the bar of chocolate that he got for his birthday didn't have a golden ticket he was just sad for a bit and he ultimately forgot about the golden ticket almost altogether.
