During my holidays I went to Washpen falls on a project k trip. There, we went on a loop walk around there and did a few things. For instance, we did this thing walled the "leap of faith" and the giant swing. The "Leap of Faith", as a system of ropes that allowed you to climb the tee tops and jump to a traipse bar.
The Giant swing was similar to the leap of faith and had the same rope system that is used to help you climb to a platform that's 8 meters high in the tree. Once there, there's a small platform that one of the instructors helps you on to so that they can connect you to a large Y shaped wire system. Once you're connected they do a final check of your harness, then they instruct you to jump of to the side of the platform.
You then plummet down a few meters getting picked up by your harness by the wires then flung out towards a green plant-covered cliff that overlooks the Canterbury plains. After swinging back and forth a few minutes you slow down enough that they can slow you down and take you off.
